ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., January 8, 2026 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, today announced a new multi-platform initiative, CNBC Cures, a groundbreaking resource dedicated to showcasing the voices, research, and progress surrounding rare diseases and bringing awareness to the 30 million Americans suffering from them. Led by CNBC’s “Squawk Box” Co-Anchor Becky Quick, CNBC Cures is designed to be a central hub bringing together families, doctors, investors, and regulators from around the country to support those impacted and help to improve their outcome.

“My connection to CNBC Cures is a personal one – my youngest daughter Kaylie was diagnosed with SYNGAP1, a very rare disease caused by a variant on the SYNGAP1 gene.” said Quick. “My journey with her diagnosis and treatment has been tough and at times lonely but with this initiative, I’m hoping to create a space with a shared mission to recognize, collaborate, and find solutions for those living with rare diseases.”

CNBC Cures will feature exclusive stories and breaking news that highlight cutting-edge research and emerging treatments, key investments fueling innovation in the rare disease space, character-driven accounts from patients and their families, and testimonials from prominent business leaders and investors sharing their work and personal connections to those with rare diseases. In addition to regular coverage, there will also be a videocast and weekly newsletter that spotlight the most important stories of the week.

“Rare diseases impact millions of families, and CNBC is committed to being a trusted voice on the issues that matter most,” said David Cho, Editor-in-Chief of CNBC. “CNBC Cures will bring together leaders from business and medicine to turn insight into action — and offer hope to families navigating these conditions.”
