CNBC Launches New Podcast Series: Executive Decisions with Steve Sedgwick

LONDON, November 11, 2025 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, today announced the launch of its new podcast series, Executive Decisions, hosted by financial journalist and Squawk Box Europe co-anchor, Steve Sedgwick. The series offers audiences exclusive access to candid conversations with some of the world’s most influential business leaders and policymakers.

Focusing on “The decisions that defined their careers”, the podcast takes listeners inside the pivotal moments that have shaped top executives. Through in-depth interviews, Steve uncovers how leaders navigated risk, doubt, and conviction on their paths to success – reminding us that even those at the highest levels must wrestle with uncertainty and tough trade-offs.

The podcast kicks off with three leaders who have each reshaped their industries in distinctive ways: Ms Jo Malone CBE, the entrepreneurial force behind some of the worlds most loved fragrances; Christian Bruch, CEO of Siemens Energy, steering the company through the global energy transition; and Julia Hoggett, CEO of the London Stock Exchange, at the forefront of capital markets and financial innovation. Together, their stories reveal how creativity, conviction, and resilience drive decisions that are bigger than just themselves or their organisations.

The podcast continues with a compelling line-up of global leaders, including:

  • Tim Adams, CEO, International Institute of Finance
  • Victor Riparbelli, CEO, Synthesia
  • Estelle Brachianoff, CEO, Veolia
  • Hugh Brasher, CEO, London Marathon Events
  • Andy Briggs, CEO, Phoenix Group
  • Ilham Kadri, CEO, Syensqo
  • Andrea Rossi, CEO, M&G
  • Dominik von Achten, CEO, Heidelberg Materials
  • Sir Nigel Wilson, Chairman, Canary Wharf Group

Steve brings over three decades of experience in financial markets and journalism. In his career at CNBC, he has covered key global economic events including G7, G20, and World Economic Forum meetings, while also serving as the network’s OPEC reporter. His expertise and access to top-tier decision-makers make him uniquely placed to lead this series.

“Executive Decisions is about more than just boardroom choices, it’s about human stories of leadership, resilience and foresight,” said Sedgwick. “These conversations show that defining moments often come with doubt and risk, but also with the potential to transform industries and careers.”

Executive Decisions will be available weekly on Tuesdays. Audiences can listen on all major podcast platforms and watch on CNBC TV on weekends.
