CNBC Announces the Seventh Annual CNBC Financial Advisor 100

List Recognizes Firms Finding New Ways to Help Clients Manage Their Financial Lives

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., October 1, 2025 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, today announced the 2025 CNBC Financial Advisor 100. Now in its seventh year, the CNBC FA 100 is a ranked list of the top advisory firms in the country that are helping guide clients through the journey of achieving financial freedom.

This recognition comes at a time when more people are seeking professional financial guidance. Although the stock market has shown resilience, many people still feel uncertain about the economy. With interest rate changes from the Federal Reserve and significant tax law changes on the horizon, financial advisors are playing a bigger role in helping people plan for the future.

The firms on CNBC’s 2025 list average 32 years in business and have more than $223 billion in investor assets under management. The list was determined by applying a proprietary methodology, developed by CNBC and data provider AccuPoint Solutions, to just over 1,000 qualifying firms out of a pool of more than 40,000 registered investment advisory firms. Categories in the methodology include: total assets under management, number of investment advisors registered with the firm, advisor’s compliance record and total accounts under management, among others. CNBC and AccuPoint Solutions determined the weighting for each category, further refining and ranking the firms, ultimately leading to the final CNBC FA 100. All of the data collected from the RIAs was information pulled from each of the firm’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The complete methodology can be found here.

CNBC.com’s special report, CNBC.com/FA100, features a brand new interactive heatmap that allows readers to filter the top firms by specific client needs. The site also features an in-depth interview with the top finisher and a piece that explains how the advisory firms were selected.
